I've been working up the courage to ask one customer that is always wearing headphones what she listens to, but it hasn't happened yet. For now, I just imagine that everyone is smiling and listening to this song.
Weight.
Outside,
A few cars hissing past,
Fog hanging like old
Coats between the trees.
I took my girl’s hand
In mine for two blocks,
Then released it to let
Her unwrap the chocolate.
I peeled my orange
That was so bright against
The gray of December
That, from some distance,
Someone might have thought
I was making a fire in my hands.

me and kasey hall made a music video to this song in high school...I'll have to show you sometime.
the chord progression is totally "Lord Reign in Me" I was hoping at was the start it was a tim milburn style synth worship song. But this Simon came first and was better to listen to.
When I used to wear headphones on the bus in junior high, I always wished the song I was listening to was playing from the sky when I walked off, so that everyone could hear.
I have turned into one of those people Chris. Not when I'm talking to people, like Chris May used to do, but I work at my computer all day and need music, and on the bus its nice to drown out the sound of the road so I can read.
Lately it has been the radio mostly. I love this station, 90.3 KEXP. You can listen to it online, and I suggest it sometime. You'll find some new music you like guaranteed. They play basically all the stuff we used to listen to in our room whenever Reed had control, like The National, Tapes 'n' Tapes, The Roots, lots of great stuff...
